18-26 Aug.: Homestay set up friendship for American and Chinese students in Kunming |
| 10 American students were assigned to stay with their Chinese counterparts from 5 families in Kunming during their Chinese Language course study in Yunnan Normal University from 18 through 26 July. Yunnan EcoNetwork (YEN) and the Pacific Village Institute USA (PVI) organized the homestay and other activities jointly. Students from the two countries also visited the Kunming Zoological Museum and the Botanic Garden, etc. they lived, ate and studied together, which left them a valuable friendship between them. Before leaving Yunnan, they took part in Sapling Volunteers in Lashihai Lake in Lijiang. |
