August 6 2007: Saplings were attacked by pests |
| Recently, pests were being identified on the tree trunks by several villagers from Anshang Village in Lashihai Wetland in Lijiang. The farmers asked for pesticides at the Lashi Township in order to cope with the pests. After checking the trees at the site with villagers, YEN project officer in charge of the Sapling Volunteers consulted with experts from Yulong County Forest Bureau, who positively supported the idea that both YEN and the bureau organize an on-the-spot demonstration on how to prevent pest for villagers and local sapling volunteers in the coming month. |
