| 7月17日，从美国西雅图来的小学、初中和高中的老师们来到云南生态网络丽江绿色教育基地参观，为了了解云南本土NGO组织和开展的环保活动。在听取了耶鲁大学在基地的实习生王卓和艾美丽对生态网在当地湿地保护和可再生能源沼气知识的介绍与应用后，大家表示对云南生态网开展的工作十分赞赏，并且明白云南本土NGO组织的地位与挑战。 July 17, 2010,Lead by longtime GEC associate Darrin Magee, a group of 18 teachers (grades K-12) from Montana, Oregon, and Washington in the U.S.A. came to the GEC as part of a trip to Yunnan to study NGOs and environmentalism in China. The group received a tour and presentation from interns Simon Warren and Emily Baratta as an introduction to biogas and wetlands conservation in China and YEN’s specific work in the area, as well as the status and challenges of NGOs in Yunnan. The group expressed a great deal of interest, and the visit sparked a dialogue about differences between American and Chinese forms of renewable energy consumption. |
